Talk to filmgoers, Censors told

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Prominent film director Mr Shaji N. Karun has stated that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) should frequently communicate with filmgoers to arrive at an understanding about the mind of the masses to enable itself perform duty efficiently and effectively.

Mr Karun stated this while speaking at a workshop organised by the CBFC for its panel members here. The panel members should realise that visual literacy has reached a higher plane and limitations of the regional language films got over with.

Mr K.L. Sreekrishna Das, Director, Press Information Bureau, presided over the function. Among those who spoke on the occasion were Mr Rosscote Krishna Pillai, Mr Baby Ambatt and Mr Pattanakkad Purushothaman. Mr E. N. Sajith, Additional Regional Officer, CBFC, Thiruvananthapuram, welcomed the gathering.
