Mumbai , April 18

ANIMATION, both 2D as well as 3D, is entering into television content. Television software company, Rudrakshaa Arts, has used animation in its children's serial, Bongo, in which 2D and 3D characters interact with real life characters. This serial will be aired on DD1 every Sunday between 12.30 and 1 pm.

Bongo features an unidentified planet called Zapata.

``The species that inhabit the planet are far more advanced in every aspect of life than us earthlings. There is love, peace and security in the air of planet Zapata, but suddenly, one day, a serious danger threatens the planet's very existence,'' the company said in a press release.

The animation work is being outsourced from Green Gold Animation, Hyderabad.
