Outlook Frankfinn plans to open more centres Our Bureau
Kolkata , May 4 FRANKFINN Institute of Air Hostess Training plans to augment its presence in India and also seek a presence in West Asian countries such as Dubai, Bahrain and Oman. The company offers cabin crew training in 27 centres across the country. The company has centres in Kolkata and Guwahati. Over the next six months, Frankfinn centres would be opened in Shillong, Siliguri, Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Patna and Bhubaneswar, according to Mr K.S. Kohli, Chairman of the Frankfinn Group of Companies. Talking to Business Line recently, Mr Kohli said Frankfinn has introduced a one-year diploma course in aviation, hospitality & travel management. Divided into eight modules, the course draws from the specific requirements of the international aviation industry. The course content also includes one month of industrial training. Mr Kohli said about 500 students would undertake the course this year. The course is spread over 500 hours or two hours a day five days a week and would cost each student Rs 75,000. "Our focus is on training them to perfection and preparing them so that they clear the interviews. The technical training is airline-specific and is provided by the airlines themselves," he said, adding that successful students are provided with placement assistance as well. Frankfinn Institute recorded a turnover of Rs 11 crore in 2003-04. In the current fiscal, it hopes to generate a turnover of Rs 60 crore to Rs 70 crore, according to Mr Kohli.
