Indo-US meet on info security

New Delhi , July 25

EXPLORING the possibility of joint US-India programmes to strengthen information security and establishing global standards for secure sourcing would top the agenda at the first India-US Information Security Summit to be held in New Delhi on October 12-13, 2004.

The summit, titled `India and the United States: Protecting the Critical Information Infrastructure Alliance,' is being hosted by the National Association of Software ad Services Companies (Nasscom) and the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA).

The event, being supported by Ministry of Communications & IT, is expected to be attended by representatives from the US Departments of Commerce, State and Homeland Security, said a Nasscom press release..

Apart from sharing presentations, the summit will feature talks on cyber security in Indiaand information security and physical security challenges.
