Pharmaceuticals Jubilant net up at Rs 28.2 cr; net sales up 46 pc Our Bureau
New Delhi , July 27 JUBILANT Organosys Ltd has reported a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 28.2 crore for first quarter of the current fiscal marking an increase of 107 per cent over the same period last year. The company's total net sales increased by 46 per cent from Rs 181.1 crore to Rs 265.1 crore during the quarter, according to a company release. The company's pharmaceuticals and life science chemicals sales went up by 62 per cent to Rs 112.9 crore as compared to Rs 75.6 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. The company's earnings before interest, depreciation and taxes went up by 68 per cent during the quarter to Rs 58.6 crore from Rs 34.9 crore along with a 22 per cent increase in operating margin. According to the company's Chairman and Managing Director, Mr Shyam Bhartia, "The results reflect the quality of the implementation of our strategy to have an increased operational focus throughout the value chain in the pharmaceuticals and life science chemicals sector and stronger business focus on regulated markets. "The direction for the current year will continue unchanged. Given the initiative that we are implementing, we foresee greater vindication of the success of the strategy going forward."
