JB Chem Q3 net increases 27%

JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd has posted a 27.17-per cent rise in net profit at Rs 15.45 crore for the three months ended December 31, 2004, against Rs 12.15 crore in the previous year period.It achieved net sales of Rs 100.62 crore (Rs 78.94 crore).

The company's board of directors, at its meeting on Thursday, recommended sub-division of the nominal value of the share from Rs 10 to Rs 2 each, subject to shareholders' approval, a company release said.

JB Chemicals achieved net sales of Rs 275.09 crore for the nine months ended December 31, 2004 - up 22.06 per cent compared to Rs 225.37 crore for the corresponding period last year. It also achieved a net profit of Rs 47.70 crore (Rs 40.55 crore).
