AS many as 20 Keralite women will vie for the 6th edition of the Miss Kerala Beauty pageant to be held here on February 26. This year's event will be sponsored by Marico Industries.

Speaking to presspersons, Mr Amit Nandi, Marketing Manager, Marico Industries, and Mr Ram Menon, Executive Director, Impresario Event Marketing Company, said the larger objective of the pageant is to provide the Kerala woman a bigger platform to realise her dreams. This year's winner would star in advertisement of Parachute Advanse, they said.

The registration for the event would start on Wednesday and the preliminary rounds would be organised in Kochi on February 18 to 20.

Apart from Miss Kerala crown, other honours await short listed candidates included Miss Beautiful Hair, Miss Beautiful Skin and Miss Beautiful Smile.

The 20 short listed candidates would receive special session from experts on personality development, hair care, skincare, classical dance, yoga, meditation, literature, theatrics and sports, Mr Menon said.
