Broadband Interactive Info broadband services Our Bureau
Visakhapatnam , March 13 INTERACTIVE Infotainment Private Ltd, a Vizag-based company, has launched broadband services here. At a press meet on the occasion, Mr K. Vijaya Kumar, the Managing Director, said the company would start its operations next week in Hyderabad and would later expand to all the important cities and towns in the State. "We hope to cover all the important places such as Vijayawada, Guntur, Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Warangal and Tirupati in a year or so," he said. The company had invested Rs 6 crore here in laying the optical fibre cable, he added. "It is our aim to offer quality broadband services at affordable rates. Though Internet is available everywhere, the Indian consumer is not able to afford a low-cost computer. Therefore, we are offering our own low-cost computers under the brand iSurf. The customer would have to pay Rs 799 per month for two years to get the iSurf PCs bundled with 1 Mbps broadband Internet. We are hopeful that this package will attract many middle class customers," he said. He said there would be a three-year warranty for the PC. Linux software, available free of cost, would be used in the PCs. He said the company was offering several data packages as well as time packages for the customers in the range of Rs 99 per month to Rs 599.
