POWER transmission and EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) company KEC International Ltd has won four contracts worth $52.9 million (Rs 231 crore) from Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation.

Three of the four contracts are for construction of power distribution networks.

The release quoted Mr Ramesh Chandak, Managing Director, KEC, as saying: "Apart from transmission lines, KEC has also developed competencies in supply and construction of distribution infrastructure.
