Bangalore , April 27

GLOBAL trade on eBay India, the online market place, has picked up since the technological integration of Baazee.com with eBay and the full use of eBay's brand name became operational.

Indian users have got access to the eBay global market place and buyers and sellers in India now can directly access eBay's global trading community of 135 million users in 33 markets, according to Mr Avnish Bajaj, Country Manager, eBay India. Sixteen items are sold every hour to international buyers and buyers from the US, the UK, Singapore, Mexico, Canada and Pakistan are buying apparel, leather, collectibles, handicrafts and jewellery, said Mr Bajaj, adding that eBay India allows Indian users to trade locally, regionally and globally.

On any given day over 3,500 items are available to international buyers. "We have followed eBay's practices for security and do the required due diligence to ensure security," he said. "Asia Pacific has the fastest growth rate of 75 per cent among all eBay regions and Indian culture products are in big demand on eBay," said Mr Bajaj.
