The rise in crude oil prices is having an impact on the prices of paraffin wax used for making candles. The increase is Rs 14,000 per tonne in three months, the recent one being a Rs 4,500 increase last week, causing a turmoil in the candle industry in the State where over two lakh people are empolyed, according to Kerala Candle Manufacturers Association.
