Grasim's chemical unit production hit

Our Bureau

Mumbai, July 21

A shutdown of a captive power plant attached to Grasim Industries' chemical division at Nagda will impact production at the plant, said the company. Production would be affected by about 50 per cent during the four weeks of the shutdown, which is for conducting major repair work at the power plant, said a statement. While this will impact the profitability of Grasim's chemical division for the second quarter ending September 30, 2006, the company does not expect any impact on its overall profitability on this account.
