G. RAMASWAMY (72) treks 20 km to Visakhapatnam from Gambheeram village to sell palm-leaf umbrellas at Rs 60 apiece and support his six-member family. Stitching umbrellas is a laborious task and he can make only two a day. The umbrellas are favoured by petty vendors as they provide protection from rain and shine.
