NSE, BSE timings extended due to sun outage

Mumbai , Sept. 25

Market timings of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will be extended for the period September 25-Oct 09 on account of Sun Outage. Markets will remain open between 9.55 hrs to 4.45 hours for the ensuing period.

An NSE release said that the exchange has revised timings on account of Sun Outage based on ISRO feedback, as members may face loss of connectivity during this period. Hence NSE will open at 9.55 a.m. only to remain close between 11.25 hrs to 12.05 hrs. Post a pre-open period between 12.05 to 12.10 hrs, the capital market will re-open at 12.10 hours. The markets will close at 16.15 hrs with the session ending at 16.45 hrs.

The BSE today said that the log in period would be between 9.00 hrs to 9.55 hrs and thereafter continuous trading between 9.55 hrs to 16.15 hrs. Markets will close at 16.15 hrs and the session ends at 16.45 hrs.
