Kochi Feb. 21 The Confederation of Indian Industry and Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) are jointly organising an interactive seminar on New Technology Business Opportunities in Bioprocesses and Bio-Products here at Hotel Renaissance on Saturday.

The objective of the seminar is to disseminate information on the new business opportunities in bio-processes and bio-products, as also to support the prospective entrepreneurs in making the right linkages with the technology providers.

The important business opportunity as identified globally has been the conversion of biomass into bio-energy, bio-fuels and other value added products. The main objective of this programme is to sensitise the industries on new technology trends/developments in bio-process and bio-products including biomass-based energy generation technologies.

The seminar would also help the entrepreneurs in networking with TIFAC to access technology funding schemes and sustainable technologies offered by TIFAC.

The seminar is targeted to reach out to Indian industries especially small and medium-scale enterprises and entrepreneurs looking to diversify their business-portfolios.
