Portal to flash exam results on mobiles

Our Bureau

Hyderabad April 9 With the exams season around, a software company has hit upon a timely idea. Suchinfotech says it will flash the results of exams on personal mobile phones, in less than an hour after they are officially announced.

The Hyderabad-based company today launched a web portal ResultsOnMobile.com to do this. All that one has to do is register onsite, which is free. Once the results of the exams are out, candidates will get a short message service (SMS) stating their performance.

ALL SET TO GO

The site will go live with the results of the upcoming SSC (Secondary School Certificate), Intermediate, Degree, Engineering, and competitive exams such as EAMCET, ICET etc. this summer, said Mr M.S. Raju, Managing Director and CEO of Suchinfotech.

Claiming that it was the first-of-its-kind Web portal-based service, Mr Raju told newspersons: "We are creating an opportunity for students to get their results on their mobiles instantaneously instead of waiting for the traditional delivery of results which normally takes more time".

REVENUE MODEL

The revenue model for the portal is through sponsorships, said Mr Raju, whose Suchinfotech is also into biometrics, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) and mobile marketing space.

In RFID, the company along with TCS has bagged a project from oil major BPCL for its automatic vehicle identification product.

In the SMS space, the company is implementing an interesting project for Bharatgas. An SMS-based gas booking system, on a pilot basis, has been launched in 15 places in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. It will be expanded to other cities too.
