Effort BPO teams up with Star Telecom, Triple Three

Mumbai May 30 The Mumbai-based Effort BPO Ltd has partnered with the Chinese firm Asia Star Info Telecom and Triple Three (a part of the Hong Kong-based Mulitex Group) to set up a chain of multi-location domestic BPOs in China.

Effort BPO will hold a majority stake of 51 per cent in the unnamed joint venture company, while Asia Star and Triple Three will have 24 per cent and 25 per cent stake respectively. The three partners will spend about $6 million in the next two years for building up the new business, said Mr S. Venkateswaran, Group Finance Director, Mulitex.

In India, Effort BPO services domestic clients in the BFSI vertical through its centres in Mumbai and Delhi. It intends to replicate the same model for the Chinese markets with focus on the insurance, banking, and telecom industries, said Mr Akshay Chabra, Managing Director.
