ESPN ties up with Hathway

New Delhi, July 23

ESPN Software has tied up with multi-system operator, Hathway, for its cricket-only channel, STAR Cricket. Priced at Rs 28, the channel, featuring the ongoing India-England series, was accepted with some reluctance by some cable and DTH operators. However, the broadcaster has now tied up with Siticable, Incable and Hathway amongst the large MSOs.

The channel is also available on DTH platforms, Dish TV and Tata Sky. “The deal with Hathway will now ensure that cricket fans across the country enjoy the on-going India-England cricket series. Within three weeks of the launch of the new channel, STAR Cricket has been able to garner a national footprint,” Mr Rajesh Kaul, Vice-President, ESPN Software India Pvt Ltd, said in a company release.
