Big 92.7 FM coming to Vizag

Visakhapatnam, Oct. 3

Big 92.7 FM is to be launched later this month here, according to a press release issued by the company. It has already been launched in Hyderabad and Tirupati in the State. In the first phase, FM stations were set up in the metros, and, in the second phase, radio stations would be established in the smaller cities, taking the total to 45. According to Mr Tarun Katial, the Chief Operating Officer, “It is our endeavour to attract the local audiences and build a brand that connects at grassroots. There will be a high amount of interactivity on the station.” Adlabs Films Ltd, a Reliance Dhirubhai Ambani group company, has floated the FM channel, and till now Rs 400 crore has been invested in transmission equipment, infrastructure and licensing. The channel wants to have a countrywide 1,000-strong workforce, adds the release.
