Info-Tech - Restructuring
Intense Tech restructures product portfolio

V. Rishi Kumar

Hyderabad, Dec. 3 Technology products company Intense Technologies Ltd (formerly Fortune Informatics) has restructured its operations and has embarked on global expansion.

The company has strengthened its top management inducting former CSG executive, Mr Raghav Sahgal, as its Chief Executive Officer.

Speaking to Business Line, Mr Sahgal, who operates out of Singapore base of this Hyderabad company, said Intense restructured the entire product portfolio. This meant that all the products are now offered on distinct frameworks and solutions are then built on them.

“We felt this change was necessary as we were offering a whole range of technology without some of the enterprises actually requiring them. Since they have been now developed on platforms, solutions are now offered in a modular form through a services-oriented architecture,” he said.

As a result of these changes, the earlier products Report Suite and Web Biz have paved way for platforms. All these products, which help better manage workflow and collaboration, would be deployed in partnership with system integrators, he said.

Dubai office

By this fiscal end, the company plans to establish offices in Dubai to serve West Asia, and is finalising plans for setting up centres in America and Europe. These centres would serve as marketing-cum-implementation centres, he said.

For the company, all these years the investment was in intellectual property creation and building products for global requirements. Having deployed them in some of the large Indian and global companies, Intense expanded the scope of these products to serve telecom, banking and financial services and insurance segments.

“Next year, we expect to file for protection of IP we have created over the years,” he said.
