Disney titles in local languages

New Delhi, Jan. 11

Disney Publishing Worldwide (India), a division of The Walt Disney Company (India), is launching eight titles from its classic storybooks in Hindi and Marathi. Malayalam versions of the titles which include The Jungle Book, Aladdin, The Lion King, Winnie the Pooh, Bambi, Cinderella, Tarzan, and Peter Pan, can also be expect ed in March this year. The company has entered into a licensing agreement with the publishers Popular Prakashan for the books. “Disney stories carry positive values and bring out the gift of imagination in children. We are excited to help promote family reading in local languages through these eight Disney titles,” said Mr Harsha Bhatkal of Popular Prakashan.
