Pyramid Saimira opens restaurant

Coimbatore, Jan. 11 Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd opened the group’s first signature South Indian restaurant styled Brahmin’s Kitchen, at the premises of the Priyadarshini Theatre in Palakkad in Kerala on Friday.

Mr P.S. Saminathan, Managing Director of the company, said Pyramid Saimira is focusing on creating a niche for itself in food & beverages segment and Brahmin’s Kitchen is the first initiative to bring ‘authentic traditional Brahmin food in modern format’. He said the group has planned to expand this globally.

Speaking about the uniqueness of Brahmin’s Kitchen, Mr Alok Kumar, General Manager, Food & Beverages, said the company would focus ‘extensively on food safety, hygiene and quality. Processes for complete safety, including regular biological / microbiological tests, medical tests for employees working in the kitchen and so on, will be put in place’. Brahmin’s Kitchen being an independent restaurant is also open to the general public, apart from the movie-goers.

A company communication to the BSE said Pyramid Saimira recently acquired 51 per cent stake in the Mumbai-based Dimples Cine Advertising & Dimples Cine Activations. The company also acquired Texas-based FunAsiA through its subsidiary Pyramid Saimira Entertainment America Inc, as well as an existing theatre and radio drive-time hours in Chicago and radio time in Houston. It has also inaugurated its own food court at SLF Mall in Indraprastha Colony, at Faridabad.
