Eros gets ‘Sarkar Raaj’ rights

Mumbai, Feb. 14

The London AIM listed company Eros International has acquired the international distribution rights for Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar Raaj. Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sarkar Raaj is the sequel to Sarkar, which was based on the politician-underworld nexus in Mumbai. Confirming the deal Varma said: “Eros International has the capability and the distribution network t o take the film to its deserved potential.” Ms Jyoti Deshpande, COO & Commercial director, Eros International, added: “Sarkar Raaj is one of the much-awaited films this year with the ensemble of the Bachchan family.” —
