GBN to become ibn18 Broadcast

New Delhi, Feb. 15

Global Broadcast News will be renamed ‘ibn18 Broadcast Ltd’. “All our brands have become IBN – CNN IBN, IBN 7, IBN Lokmat –so it makes sense to have it all under one banner,” explained Mr Sameer Manchanda, Joint Managing Director, Global Broadcast News. Eighteen stands for the parent company, Network18. The company today informed BSE, that it hoped to have both decisions, the change in name and plans to raise Rs 600 crore through Qualifi ed Institutional Placements, approved by an extraordinary general meeting of members of the company in March.
