Muthoot Securities to start broking services from today

Kochi, May 27 Muthoot Securities Ltd, which is part of Muthoot Group Companies, is all set to commence stock broking operations from 61 branches in Kerala from Wednesday.

To start with, the company will offer broking services in cash and derivatives segments at the NSE and the BSE.

Addressing a press conference Mr George Alexander Muthoot, Managing Director, Muthoot Group Companies, said that services in commodities segment and opening branches in other parts of the country would commence at a later date.

The financial and distributive strengths of Muthoot Group are also expected to stand the customers in good stead.

Customer loyalty has been a hallmark of the 120-year-old company, which has an annual business turnover of Rs 10,000 crore, and attracts nearly 40,000 customer footfalls every day.

“We plan to leverage on this large customer base and the wide reach to augment the stock broking business,” said Mr K.P. Padmakumar, Executive Director, Muthoot Group.

The extensive branch network into the rural heartland of Kerala is perceived as another major asset of the company in this new venture.
