Telecommunications Marketing - New Products & Services Porsche Design mobile phone launched Mumbai, June 27 Porsche Design mobile phone, P’9521, a high-end luxury product from the Stuttgart-based Porsche Design Group in collaboration with the French-based Sagem Mobiles, was launched in Mumbai on Friday. Porsche Design Group is a subsidiary of the German-based premium sports car maker Porsche AG. The mobile phone designed by Porsche Design Group is manufactured in France by Sagem Mobiles. With aluminium casing and finger print reader, the mobile handset carries a price tag of Rs 77,000. “This is for the people who are interested in luxury products. We have decided to extend our activities from fashion and sports articles to electronic gadgets. We are targeting luxury segment in India. The product will be available in luxury showrooms,” said Mr Jean-Luc Guerit, Vice-President, Porsche Phone Licensee. P’9521 features auto-focus video and still camera with 3.2-megapixel resolution, MP3 player and high-speed Internet access.
