Take Solutions, LIBA set up centre

Our Bureau

Chennai, July 14 Take Solutions Ltd and Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) have announced that they had jointly set up a Centre of Excellence for Supply Chain Management.

“The Centre of Excellence at LIBA will be the fulcrum from which innovative ideas emerge to change the existing supply chains to value networks,” Mr Sridharan Sivan, Managing Director, Take Solutions, said at a press conference here on Monday.

TAKE Solutions will offer scholarships to one PhD student of LIBA every year in the area of SCM. Further the research activities will be open to all academia and industry professions.

In addition, a Centre of Excellence Laboratory will be set up at LIBA jointly run by TAKE Solutions and LIBA. The lab will develop best practices and advanced algorithms on the existing and emerging supply chain challenges.

The Chennai-based Take Solutions, which has proprietary software products for supply chain management and life sciences (for clinical trial management and for compliance with drug-regulations), expects to grow 35 per cent in the current year “organically”, Mr Sivan said. Last year’s Take Solutions’ consolidated turnover was Rs 294 crore.

Asked if this meant that the company was planning to grow also inorganically, Mr Sivan replied in the affirmative.
