Revenues were up nearly 35 per cent. Revenues for the Hindi channel, IBN7, were up 28 per cent, the company said in a statement. “Both CNN IBN and IBN7 have shown significant revenue growth in this quarter. IBN Lokmat, the Marathi news channel, has also proven itself as a strong property attracting a growing portfolio of advertisers. The Viacom18 channels are continuing on their firm trajectory of growth. Put together, IBN18 has one of the most potent combinations of news and entertainment in India today,” Mr Sameer Manchanda, Joint Managing Director, IBN18, said in a release.

The network recently launched the general entertainment channel Colors under Viacom 18. It claims that its English news channel, CNN IBN, is in the number one position according to television viewership ratings.
