WiMax laptops in India

New Delhi, Oct. 16

The Minister of Communications and IT, Mr A. Raja, has announced the launch of WiMax embedded laptop computers in India. The laptops with Intel chips inside from computer manufacturers such as Lenovo and ASUS are expected to stimulate the growth of wireless broadband in India at a much faster pace. The laptop was launched at the WiMax Exposition in New Delhi organised by WiMax Forum. Mr Raja called upon the WiMax industry to ensure that spectrum is put to best use by the o perators to offer next generation internet services such as web casting, video download and music download. —
