Hotel Leela expansion plans on

Anjana Chandramouly

Bangalore, Dec. 7 The global economic meltdown has not affected Hotel Leela Venture’s expansion plans.

“Our expansion plans are on since the funding is already in place," said Mr Vivek Nair, Vice-Chairman, The Leela Hotels, Palaces and Resorts.

The company had, over the years, raised $100 million and $60 million through the foreign currency convertible bond (FCCB) route.

Hotel Leela Venture has properties coming up in Udaipur, Gurgaon (which will only be managed by the company), Chennai and New Delhi at a total investment of Rs 2,000 crore, said Mr Nair.
