Discovery launches campaign for new offering

Hyderabad, Dec. 8 Discovery Channel, a non-fiction entertainment provider, on Monday launched a 5-week nationwide campaign to promote its new offering — Ultimate Discovery.

The campaign, in English and Hindi, would be across media including TV, Internet, print, outdoor and across geographies, according to Mr Rajiv Bakshi, Director, Marketing and Communications (India), Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific. The Ultimate Discovery series will comprise shows ranging from science, technology, history, natural world, adventure and exploration.

In the first six weeks of its launch it has been getting high viewership, he told Business Line.

The nationwide campaign with the slogan ‘Real world-Real entertainment’, is expected to substantially improve the viewership of the channel beyond metros and large cities to smaller towns as well, he added.
