Launch of WordSmith Publications

Our Bureau

Pune, July 10 Vikram Printers, a Pune-based provider of printing solutions, has forayed into the publishing business. The venture, brand-named WordSmith Publications, will initially focus on books for kids.

Mr Mandar Ugar, Director, Vikram Printers Pvt Ltd, said that the foray was a logical extension of their current business.

Competitive Advantage

“Being in the commercial printing business for the past 40 years, a publication division gives us a competitive advantage as it brings better control over quality, inventory and supplies,” he said.

The first series from WordSmith is ‘My Books’™, a set of eight illustrated books for children from 3-7 years of age.

They have been compiled by Ms Vidya Kunte, Headmistress, Symbiosis Nursery School and Symbiosis Institute for Teacher Education and Ms Shubhada Pendharkar, a child psychologist and the head of the pre-primary section of the Pune Police Public School.

Priced at Rs 95 a book, the entire set will come at a specially discounted price of Rs 500 as a limited period inaugural offer.
