Corporate Jain Irrigation bags Rs 27 cr order MUMBAI: Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd on Tuesday said it has bagged an order worth Rs 27 crore for its dehydrated onion and vegetables division from one of its European customers. The order is for supply of dehydrated white onion in the calendar year 2009. The said customer supplies many kinds of food ingredients to major European food manufacturers and food service companies, the company said in a statement. “This is the single largest order for our dehydrated onion and vegetables division. We have developed high-solid onion varieties, which are helping Indian farmers to produce more and in turn allowing us to give what the International market expects,'' Ja in Irrigation Systems Vice-Chairman Ashok Jain said. JISL is a major supplier to many MNCs and leading food brands worldwide. - PTI
