Marketing Titan to open 15 'World of Titan' stores in east India KOLKATA: The country's largest watch maker, Titan Industries, said on Thursday said it would open 15 flagship 'World of Titan' stores in the East during the current fiscal. “We have 45 World of Titan stores in the east out of 222 in the country. We will open 15 more stores in the region during the current fiscal year,” Titan Industries Regional Sales Manager Mr Rajiv Verma said here. Mr Verma said that of the proposed 15, at least four to five would come up in West Bengal. 'World of Titan' houses only watches, which contributes maximum to its topline product revenue portfolio. In the first quarter of the current fiscal, Titan Indust ries recorded Rs 32.22 crore profit after tax on a total sales revenue of Rs 811.14 crore. The jewellery segment contributed Rs 615.72 crore to the kitty and the watch segment Rs 171.89 crore. The company is also in the eye-wear business. - PTI
