NDTV posts 4-fold increase in December quarter net

MUMBAI: Television news channel company, New Delhi Television (NDTV) on Thursday posted a net profit of Rs 7.06 crore for the quarter ended December 31, more than four-fold over Rs 1.75 crore recorded in the year-ago period.

Total income of NDTV rose to Rs 67.53 crore, up 7.27 per cent as against Rs 62.95 crore recorded in the quarter ended December 31, 2005, NDTV informed the BSE.

The company in the current quarter has incorporated a new subsidiary, NDTV Networks BV in the Netherlands, it added.

NDTV Networks BV wholly owns NDTV Networks Plc and its underlying subsidiaries NDTV Imagine Ltd, NDTV Lifestyle Ltd, NDTV Convergence Ltd and NDTV Labs Ltd and 50 per cent in NGEN Media Services Pvt Ltd. - PTI
