The IT & ITES Industry Association of Andhra Pradesh (ITsAP) and Lead India 2020 foundation have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to work together for implementation of a joint certification programme ‘Certified Change Agent’.
The MoU was inked by V. Rajanna, President, ITsAP & Regional Head of TCS Hyderabad, and N.B. Sudershan Acharya, National Coordinator, Lead India 2020 Foundation.
As part of the MoU, Lead India will design, develop and implement a comprehensive training and certification programme called “Certified Change Agent for various professional college students.
It will be a two-day workshop followed by three months of project implementation, where the students will bring about social change and will be awarded social credits, according to the social credits framework.
Once the principal of the institutions certify the project work, the certificate will be jointly awarded by the two partners.
Lead India will submit a consolidated Lead India National credits report on a periodic basis which will be used by ITsAP for internal and external communications.
V. Rajanna said ITsAP will strive to create opportunities for its member companies to use Lead India as a platform for achieving CSR objectives.
The initiative is expected to help in a small way in bridging the skills gap and make students industry ready.
Lead India 2020 foundation hopes for continued cooperation from ITsAP and individual associates of its member companies, especially with respect to volunteering with technology implementation, adoption of schools to monitor and most importantly mentoring students.
