Kerala Online lottery dealers' plea

KOCHI: All-Kerala Online Lottery Dealers Association has appealed the State Government to consider sympathetically the plight of online lottery agents following the ban of online lottery in the State.

The office-bearers of the association, in a statement issued here, said that most of the agents had started business by depositing lakhs of rupees in online companies for agency as well as rent to shop owners to set up the business. The sudden decision of the authorities to ban online lotteries had affected the livelihood of so many agents.

There was no justification for stringent action against online lotteries now even though it had commenced two years ago in the State.
