New Delhi , Feb. 25

COFFEE Day Xpress, the Rs 250-crore Amalgamated Bean Coffee Trading Co Ltd (ABCTCL)'s strategic business unit that deals with setting up convenience food and beverage kiosks, is on course to making operating profit in two years.

At a conference here to announce expansion plans of Coffee Day Xpress outlets, Mr Sandip Mukherjee, President, Coffee Day Xpress, said, "Coffee Day Xpress outlets are already making operating profit in five of the seven cities we are present in. As an entire division, however, we expect to make consolidated net profit in two years' time."

Since the kiosk model, based on the franchise system, requires no working capital and only a minimum investment of only Rs 2.5 lakh - Rs 3 lakh, generating profit is almost guaranteed, Mr Mukherjee said.

Coffee Day Xpress has tied up with corporates such as Airtel, Ericsson, IBM, TCNS, Hughes and Daksh, for setting up kiosks in their premises.
