Pureview Tech to foray with LCD monitors

The company plans to double its investment in India and set up manufacturing base over the next 18-24 months.

Bangalore , April 5

PUREVIEW Technologies, an electronics hardware firm, on Monday announced the launch of its Indian operations. The company, a joint venture between Pureview of India and Funet of Taiwan, is initially investing $3.3 million.

Pureview offers cutting edge viewing technology solutions such as LCD-TFT monitors and plans to introduce products such as notebooks, LCD monitor-cum-TV, plasma televisions within the next six months, said a company release.

It has set up a manufacturing facility for these products in collaboration with Funet.

Pureview claims that it is the first electronics company in India to utilise the FTA (free trade agreement) between SAARC nations.

It also claims that it is as the first Indian LCD monitors company and second Indian IT firm to set up a manufacturing base in Sri Lanka under the FTA.

This facility would be the point of feed for the company for its entire SAARC operations.

Mr Dhananjay Shah, Managing Director, said that the company's mission was to make viewing technology more comfortable and affordable for every Indian. The company plans to double its investment in India and set up manufacturing base over the next 18-24 months, he added.
