Now suits, blazers from Peter England

PETER England, a prominent shirt brand from Madura Garments, has launched its new range of readymade suits and blazers.

The company hopes to garner 35 per cent market share in this segment within two years.

Madura Garments already has a considerable presence in the readymade suits and blazer market through its brands, Louis Phillips and Van Heusen.

Readymade suits and blazers account for 10 per cent of the Rs 2,500-crore overall market of these apparels.

Peter England's new offerings will complement its range of internationally styled garments.

Mr Vasanth Kumar, Vice-President, Sales &Marketing (Popular Brands), said that currently, the two brands, Louis Phillips and Van Heusen command a combined market share of over 20 per cent.

The range of suits and blazers, which were launched here will also be launched nationally.

Madura Garments would be mounting a campaign to promote the new products under the Peter England brand, which will include TV commercials and other media in key markets such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Karnataka.

The new Peter England suits collection will be available in 50 styles.

They will be produced at the Madura Garments factory at Hosur.

He said Peter England in a strategic move to increase its range, has launched the new products in the mid-priced segment, in line with its apparels.
