Shipping Industry & Economy - Foreign Trade Panama, India hold talks on marine co-operation Our Bureau
New Delhi , July 18 THE Ambassador of Republic of Panama, Mr Alberto Pin Zon, called on Mr T.R. Baalu, Minister of Shipping, Road Transport, and Highways, today to discuss issues related to cooperation in maritime sector between the two countries. Mr Zon sought India's support in facilitating maritime training for prospective seafarers of Panama, said an official release. The two dignitaries deliberated on the signing of an MoU in maritime sector. A draft MOU is already under the Panama Government's consideration, which may be signed in September. Mr Baalu gave an overview of maritime training infrastructure available in India and assured all co-operation in the field of maritime transportation and port development, including maritime training.
