Ancient creature

The Aldabra giant male tortoise of Alipore Zoological Garden is being named "Addyaita", (means no second pair) by the West Bengal Forest Minister, Mr Jogesh Burman, on Wednesday.

The tortoise is believed to be more than 250 years old and was brought to the zoo in the period of Lord Wellesley in 1875. This kind of tortoise lives in Indian Ocean.
