Internet Marketing - New Products & Services Sales pitch Corporate blogging from Mouthshut Our Bureau
Mumbai , Feb. 24
Blogging Web site, Mouthshut.com, is shortly going to roll out a corporate blogging service, which would enable consumers to directly engage themselves in a dialogue with companies on their various products and services. Speaking to Business Line, Mr Faisal I. Farooqui, Chief Executive Officer, Mouthshut.com, said that this service would go a long way in creating a bridge between the corporates and the consumers. "To start with, we will offer this service free of cost to the corporates and we will invite them to register their employees' names with us, who could talk about their various products and services." "An ICICI Bank manager, for instance, could talk about the bank's new offerings; Hutch, which may be improving its billing services may want to talk about it to its consumers about," he added. Mr Faisal claimed that this was the first corporate blogging service of its kind in Asia. "Companies are riding here and there in the blogging space, but ours is the only dedicated service in this space." He said that the company had already tied up with around 24 companies across categories and the service would go live by the second week of March. Mouthshut.com reviews as many as 137 categories of products ranging from an airline seat and a cell phone brand to movies and music. "We realised that most consumers bought a product not because they believed in an ad but because they relied more on the advice of a friend or the word-of-mouth reputation of a brand. We therefore got ordinary people to review the various brands, so that consumers got unbiased views." Mr Faisal said that the company would shortly start reviewing baby products such as diapers, formula milk and other baby food products, as there was a lot of demand for information on that segment.
