New Delhi, July 26

Dell International Services (DIS) was conferred the largest exporter award in the information technology enabled services (ITeS) category by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) during the E-revolution ITES event in Chandigarh.

DIS topped the list of ITES exporters with almost 11 per cent of the total exports of Rs 461 crore in the Chandigarh region.

E-revolution has been a medium for the Governments of Punjab, Haryana and the administrators of the Union Territory of Chandigarh to interact on a common agenda for IT-ITES industry as well as for emphasising the importance of shared services in the national e-governance initiative.

"Dell owes its progress in the region to the high quality of manpower available in the region... we are committed to help the region grow into a global technology hub," said Mr Vivek Mathur, the Site Director of DIS.
