Outlook MS eyes multiplexes to promote Xbox 360 Our Bureau
New Delhi , Aug 20 Microsoft Corporation's Entertainment and Devices Division is eyeing multiplexes to promote its latest gaming and entertainment system, Xbox 360. The company has already installed Xbox 360 at i-Max, Mumbai over 850 sq ft and another at Nehru Place, Delhi. By next week passionate gamers will be able to access the technology at Adlabs, Mumbai as well. At these locations Xbox 360 will be available as a consumer experience free of cost. Microsoft would also be adding more games to the Xbox 360 system. Mr Nick Fillingham, Product Trainer for Asia Pacific and Greater China region, said: "By Christmas 120 games of Xbox 360 will be available in the US. A lot will be these games will also be available in India." He added: "Xbox 360 is designed to get the gamers an experience as real as possible. For racing enthusiasts, we have attempted to create an experience of the streets similar to that in New York or Tokyo. Even the individuals seen on the street resemble real-life characters." He also said that the system has high-definition resolution and gamers would experience better resolution, details, realism and sound. Already launched in Europe, Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, Mexico, Singapore, Taiwan, and South Korea, Xbox 360 will be available in the Indian market from September 23 onwards. Priced between Rs 19,990 and Rs 23,990, it will be initially available in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
