Anil Nanda sells stake in Federal Goetze

Auto component maker Federal-Mogul Goetze India Ltd said promoter Mr Anil Nanda has sold 2.85 per cent stake in an open market transaction.

Mr Nanda sold 7,20,000 shares of Federal Goetze India at an undisclosed price on December 26, the company has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange. Mr Nanda now holds only 774 shares in the company.

Earlier in the same month, Mr Nanda had offloaded 4.95 lakh shares of the company in two separate tranches at a price of Rs 381 per share, data available with the BSE shows.

Federal Mogul GmbH and Federal Mogul Holdings held a total of 1.27 crore shares, representing 50.1 per cent stake in the Indian company at the end of September 30, 2006.

In May last year, American auto components major Federal Mogul Corporation had made a bid for acquiring an additional 24.64 per cent stake in Goetze India Ltd.

The sale of Mr Nanda's residual stake in the company will not trigger an open offer.
