Adlabs stake in Synergy Comm

Adlabs Films Ltd, part of the Anil Ambani group, has completed the process of acquiring a controlling stake in Synergy Communications. According to a statement issued on Monday by Adlabs, Mr Siddhartha Basu will be the Chairman and Managing Director, and the company will be renamed Synergy Adlabs Ltd, subject to regulatory approval.

Ms Pooja Shetty, Whole-time Director of Adlabs Films, Mr Anil Arjun, Senior Vice-President of Reliance Capital, and Mr Venkat Devarajan, CFO, Adlabs Films, have been added to the board of Synergy. The first production venture for the company is Kaun Banega Crorepati on Star Plus with Shah Rukh Khan as the anchor.

Adlabs plans to enhance Synergy's production operations, including creating fictional and non-fictional content for youth-based, reality and lifestyle shows, and international content.
