WeP Peripherals is all set to roll out production from its new facility at Baddi in Himachal Pradesh next month.

Talking to presspersons, Mr Ashutosh Chadha, Chief Financial Officer of WeP Peripherals, said an investment of Rs 8 crore has been utilised for the new facility and it would cater to production of one-lakh printers per annum.

He added that the full production capacity would be utilised within eight months of commercialisation. The other facilities are located at Mysore, Nalagarh (Himachal Pradesh) and Hyderabad. Nalagarh is a leased place catering to dot matrix printers and ribbons, while Baddi is an 11-acre plot that has been purchased by the company.

Mr Chadha said the company is also looking at acquisition of a company in the US or UK, which would lend a strategic geographic location for its products. The company meant for acquisition would fall in the range of Rs 350 to Rs 400 crore, while noting that WeP would be approaching the public for funds. He said about Rs 200 to 250 crore was what it was looking at from the public.
