Sandip Das to guide Aircel operations

Chennai, April 5

Aircel Ltd has announced that Mr Sandip Das, Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia-based Maxis Communications Berhad, will guide its senior management team as Director-in-Charge of Indian Operations. Aircel is part owned by Maxis. This management transition follows the recent resignation of Mr Jagdish Kini, Aircel's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), due to personal reasons, according to a press release.

The Maxis Group CEO, Mr Dato' Jamaludin Ibrahim, said the transition was backed by a strong management team which would guide the company until a new CEO was appointed. Besides a new CEO, Aircel is also looking to fill national positions in marketing and customer service, the release said.
