Outsourcing States - Maharashtra Mindcrest launches new facility in Pune Our Bureau
Pune April 23 Mindcrest, a legal outsourcing firm, has launched its new 400-seat facility in Pune to hire lawyers. Talking to presspersons, Mr Ganesh Natarajan, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mindcrest, said currently it has about 200 employees on its rolls and of this about 50 are in Mumbai and 100 in Pune. He said of these about 90 per cent are women. It would touch 400 by the end of the current calendar year. He said the company currently offers its services to the markets of the US, the UK and Canada. About 90 per cent of its total revenue comes in from the US. He said the company is also looking at offering its services to the Australian market. The company provides legal support across the enterprise in the US, Canada and the UK in finance, human resources, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, sales and marketing, procurement, manufacturing and legal. According to a study by the Forrester Research, the current annual value of the legal outsourcing is to the tune of $80 million. India's share could be about $4 billion by 2015. Mr Ganesh said it has received about $4 million capital investment form Talon Asset Management in Chicago in December 2006. This investment would be utilised for the expansion in Pune and increased marketing in the US. He added that about half of the amount would be utilised for the Pune expansion.
